♿️✨ Breaking Barriers: My Journey to the Mother/Baby Unit ✨♿️
For two long years, I faced rejection after rejection, my dreams of bedside nursing slipping further away. Each “no” felt heavier than the last—until one final interview at a trauma center’s Mother/Baby Unit.
When I mentioned my wheelchair, I braced for doubt or hesitation. Instead, they smiled warmly and said,
“Why would that stop you from giving exceptional care? And honestly, you’re the perfect height to catch babies!”
Next week, I begin orientation as the hospital’s first RN on wheels. I can still hardly believe it—it feels like a dream stitched together from courage, perseverance, and faith.
This isn’t just a personal victory—it’s proof that passion, skill, and heart matter more than any obstacle. A new chapter begins, and I’m ready to show that nothing can keep a determined nurse from making a difference.
