David, 57, has been battling the effects of chronic kidney disease, a complication of chemotherapy for non-Hodgkin lymphoma. This battle has been long and grueling, but Joshua has always been by his father’s side, even from a young age. Years earlier, Joshua donated bone marrow to help David fight cancer, a gesture of immense bravery and love that saved his father’s life at the time.
